Professional Bio – Mercy Afreh
Mercy Afreh is an experienced human resource professional, educator, research mentor, and employment specialist dedicated to advancing inclusive development and sustainable livelihood opportunities with over 10 years of experience in academia and nonprofit leadership. She brings a strong interdisciplinary background shaped by her work in academia, nonprofit leadership, and disability employment services. Mercy previously served as a lecturer and deputy head of the Business department at Academic City University, where she supported curriculum development, student supervision, and academic program management. From 2019 to 2023, she served as a member of the Academic Research Committee at Academic City University, reviewing undergraduate dissertations. As an administrative secretary and a project manager of the Christ Impact Lives Foundation (CILF), Mercy empowers single mothers and youth through skills development and community-driven programs. She also provides employment support and workplace readiness training for adults with disabilities. Mercy holds an MPhil in Human Resource Management, a BA in Information Studies from the University of Ghana, and a graduate degree in Sustainable International Development from Brandeis University.
