Hemalatha was born and raised in India, where her passion for commerce, business, and finance laid the foundation for an impressive academic and professional journey. She earned her Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctorate in Commerce while balancing family life and developing a keen interest in how financial systems influence business outcomes. That passion led her to a career in academia, where she served as a professor of accounting and taxation.
With over a decade of experience across finance, public accounting, academia, and research, Hemalatha has published extensively in respected journals such as IEEE and Elsevier.
In 2024, she relocated to the United States and continued her educational journey with a Master’s in Accounting from Clark University. She is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and has transitioned into the fast-paced world of U.S. accounting and finance. She is also an active member of Beta Alpha Psi, a national honor organization for financial information students and professionals.
