Sofiat is a researcher and lecturer with expertise spanning sustainable infrastructure systems, data-driven optimization, and machine learning applications in engineering. She earned her Master of Science in Management of Technology from New York University (NYU). She also holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from the University of Ilorin, where she conducted a reliability-based study on the structural behavior of timber columns.
Her research integrates data analytics, optimization, and ESG frameworks to advance sustainability, resilience, and risk modeling in infrastructure systems. At the Federal Polytechnic, Offa, she led applied research on machine learning for predictive modeling of material performance and environmental risk assessment, and co-authored multiple peer-reviewed publications in international journals.
