Dr. Oh Zi Jian is a dedicated and passionate educator with nine years of experience teaching Business Management. Since 2020, he has served as a Lead Trainer for the Vocational College Business Management Program under the Ministry of Education Malaysia and has contributed as a panelist for the final assessment instrument drafting of program courses.
Dr. Oh is a sought-after speaker, sharing his expertise on national platforms like “Didik TV Ministry of Education” and internationally. Actively involved in research and journal publications, he promotes innovative teaching practices among his students and peers and has won numerous medals in various competitions. He encourages digital skills and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) among his students and peers through collaborations with state agencies, such as the Penang Youth Development Corporation, industry players, and local communities.
Dr. Oh has actively participated in innovation competitions at the international level, achieving remarkable success with 8 Gold, 7 Silver, and 3 Bronze awards. He is also the recipient of prestigious accolades, including the Macedonia Special Award, International Special Award, and Canadian Special Award for innovation. His commitment to knowledge-sharing extends to fellow lecturers in the Business Management program across Malaysia through best practices sharing webinars, where he shares insights and best practices on innovation. Additionally, he has published 21 research studies at national and international levels and has served as a jury member for 29 innovation competitions.
Certified as an AI for Good Instructor and holding an Advanced Certificate in Applied ESG Practices, Dr. Oh is also an active member of Junior Chamber International (JCI) Bayan, where he serves as the Vice President for Community. His dedication has been recognized with awards, including a Top 22 placement in the Southeast Asian Educational Innovation Awards (Cycle 2), an Honor Award from UNESCO’s Asia-Pacific Centre of Education for International Understanding (APCEIU) Scale-Up Project 2024, and the Giving Economy Award 2024 by the Giving Economy Forum. His contributions to education and the community make him a changemaker of notable influence.
