Mr. DGL Rasika is a Senior Lecturer who is having over fifteen years’ experience in the field of Insurance & Finance, attached to the Department of Insurance & Valuation, Faculty of Business Studies & Finance, Wayamba University of Sri Lanka (WUSL). He has completed B.Sc. (Special) Degree in Insurance and Valuation and Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Wayamba University of Sri Lanka (WUSL), Reading PhD (WUSL). He joined with the WUSL in July 2021 as a Senior Lecturer. Before joining with the Wayamba University, he has been working as a Senior Lecturer in Department of Accountancy & Finance of Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka. Being a Manager in Union Assurance PLC, Mr. Rasika has the managerial experience as an insurance professional in the industry. He also worked as a District Coordinator and Manager of Puttalam District Chamber of Commerce & Agri-Business and closely worked the small and medium entrepreneurs. HIs teaching interests are Risk Management, Principles of Insurance, Life Insurance, Motor Insurance, Fire & Engineering, Insurance, Marine & Aviation Insurance, Miscellaneous Insurance, Reinsurance, Corporate, Governance & Business Ethics, Micro Finance, Personality & Professional Development, Strategic Management.
