Zainab Shakoor is an MPhil scholar and law student with a strong academic interest in linguistics, critical discourse analysis, and computational linguistics. Her research focuses on language variation in Pakistan, especially the use of English in Urdu wall posters and the politics behind code-switching. She is currently developing her thesis around language use in privacy policies, exploring how technical jargon, length, and wording influence readers’ understanding and engagement. Alongside her academic work, she writes poetry and shares reflective pieces on social themes. She is passionate about language, culture, and the power of words in shaping identity and society.
