Dr. Fitri Nurul’ain binti Nordin is a senior academic and Arabic language specialist currently serving at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia, where she holds the position of Head of the Accreditation Unit, Akademi Pengajian Bahasa. She is a certified translator and an experienced educator with a strong background in Arabic language teaching, instructional design, and educational technology, particularly augmented reality (AR)–based learning innovations. She has previously served in various academic roles at International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) and Kolej Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Selangor (KUIS), and is widely recognized for her leadership in curriculum development and digital learning initiatives.
She holds a PhD in Arabic Linguistics from the International Islamic University Malaysia, with research focused on educational module design using augmented reality. She has an MA in Teaching Arabic as a Second Language (IIUM) and a Bachelor’s degree in Arabic Language from Al-Azhar University, Egypt. Dr. Fitri has an extensive research and publication record, including journal articles, books, conference papers, and numerous funded research grants. She is also an active innovator with multiple registered mobile applications, MOOCs, and AR-based learning tools, and has received several academic awards and medals for innovation, leadership, and teaching excellence at national and international levels.
