Dr. Shahid Mohd. Dar is an Indian physiotherapy academic, clinician, and researcher currently serving as a Lecturer at the International Islamic University Malaysia. He holds a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) from the NITTE Institute of Physiotherapy, Mangalore, and a Master of Physiotherapy (MPT) in Orthopedics from Dr. M.V. Shetty College of Physiotherapy under the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. He is presently pursuing his PhD while actively contributing to teaching, clinical practice, and research in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, rehabilitation sciences, and evidence-based therapeutic interventions. With extensive professional experience spanning academia and clinical physiotherapy, he has also served as a Senior Physiotherapist in the Ministry of Health, Libya, and held academic leadership roles in physiotherapy institutions in India.
His research interests focus on musculoskeletal rehabilitation, core stability training, low back pain management, biomechanics, postural disorders, and physiotherapy interventions for neurological and orthopedic conditions. Dr. Dar has authored and co-authored several peer-reviewed publications in international journals covering topics such as lumbar stabilization exercises, cerebral palsy rehabilitation, flat feet and body mass index, neck proprioception, and balance training in the elderly. He has actively participated in international conferences, workshops, and scientific seminars related to physiotherapy and rehabilitation sciences, including paper and poster presentations at research and innovation forums. Through his academic, clinical, and research contributions, he continues to promote evidence-based physiotherapy practice and quality patient-centered rehabilitation.
