Dr. Eric Mark E. Opaon is an accomplished academician, researcher, legal professional, and multidisciplinary scholar from Philippines. He earned his Ph.D. in Psychology from Silliman University in 2025, with research focused on the psycho-social influence of rituals in the fishing communities of Siquijor Island. He also holds a Juris Doctor degree and a Master’s degree in Philosophy from University of San Jose-Recoletos. Currently serving as a College Instructor at Siquijor State College, he has extensive experience in teaching, research, public service, criminology, psychology, and community development.
Dr. Opaon is widely recognized for his contributions to research, literary writing, and academic excellence, with several internationally recognized publications and DOI-indexed works in psychology, philosophy, social sciences, and criminology. He is also a certified Cybercrime Investigation Specialist, Questioned Documents Examination Specialist, and an accomplished martial arts instructor and coach. A member of professional organizations including the American Psychological Association and the Psychological Association of the Philippines, Dr. Opaon continues to contribute significantly to academia, leadership development, research innovation, and social transformation.
