Dr. Kande Archana is an accomplished computer science educator, researcher, and Associate Professor in the Department of CSE – Data Science at CMR Engineering College (CMREC), Hyderabad. She earned her B.Tech, M.Tech, and Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Hyderabad, focusing her doctoral thesis on advanced behavioral event classification using image processing and deep learning. Over her nearly two-decade career across premier engineering institutions—including Malla Reddy College of Engineering (MRCE) and MLR Institute of Technology—Dr. Archana has driven major structural initiatives. She has spearheaded institutional accreditation metrics for NAAC and NBA, managed patent facilitation, and supervised close to 30 undergraduate and postgraduate research projects.
At the forefront of emerging technologies, Dr. Archana’s extensive research portfolio centers on Artificial Intelligence, Deep Learning, Drone Technology, and Computer Vision. She successfully executed a highly competitive DST-WOS(A) research grant worth ₹17.2 lakhs, pioneering a novel IoT and digital image processing framework for ATM security. A prolific scholar, she has authored 5 textbooks—including titles on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning and Python Programming—contributed 15 Scopus-indexed book chapters, and holds multiple international patents, including a UK design grant for AI-based eyewear. Her research is widely cited across 30+ SCI, Scopus, and Web of Science journals. Dr. Archana’s dedication to educational excellence has been recognized with numerous honors, including multiple Best Teacher awards, the Emerging Researcher Award, and the prestigious Swami Vivekananda Professional Excellence Award.
