Dr. Bhabani Sankar Ratha is a distinguished academician, researcher, and data scientist currently serving as an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science & IT and the Joint Registrar at the NIIS Institute of Business Administration in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. With an expansive academic portfolio, Dr. Ratha holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science Engineering from Glocal University, where his doctoral research focused on integrating machine learning models with embedded systems for molecular sequence analysis. He also holds an M.Phil, an M.Tech, an MCA, and an M.Sc. in information systems and computer technologies, alongside an MBA in Human Resource Management and an LLB from Utkal University. His core research specializations operate at the cutting edge of data science, soft computing, deep learning, and advanced web technologies, with a strong focus on utilizing artificial intelligence to solve complex biomedical and supply chain challenges . With over two decades of post-graduate and under-graduate teaching experience, Dr. Ratha has built a prolific profile in high-impact research and university governance. As the Joint Registrar and a long-standing Examination and IQAC Coordinator at NIIS, he leads institutional compliance protocols, including AICTE approvals, BPUT affiliations, NIRF rankings, and AISHE reporting. A highly productive scholar, he has published multiple books on organizational behavior, management information systems (MIS), and decision support systems (DSS), alongside patenting an innovative consumer behavior prediction device. His extensive research is published in Scopus-indexed Taylor & Francis volumes, and he serves as an active journal reviewer and expert panelist for national workshops on drone electronics and the National Education Policy (NEP 2020).
