Mrs. Vutukuri Swathi is an accomplished pharmaceutical scientist and Associate Professor of Pharmacology with over 12 years of dedicated experience in higher education, research, and institutional administration. She graduated with top honors from JNTU Kakinada, earning both her B.Pharm (81%) and an M.Pharm in Pharmacology (82%), and registered for her Ph.D. at the prestigious Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research in 2019. Currently serving as an Associate Professor at the Vijaya Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences for Women in Vijayawada, her extensive teaching portfolio spans Advanced Pharmacology, Pathophysiology, Clinical Pharmacy, and Pharmacovigilance across B.Pharm, Pharm.D, and M.Pharm programs. Beyond the classroom, Professor Swathi is a vital driving force behind institutional compliance and innovation; she serves as a Board of Studies (BOS) and Academic Council member, an Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) documentation lead, a NAAC criteria coordinator, and the Convener for the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC).As an active and research-oriented scientist, Professor Swathi focuses her scholarly work on in vitro anti-cancer screenings, in vivo animal toxicity models, and in silico molecular docking simulations for targeted drug discovery. She has guided over 14 graduate and postgraduate research projects, filed and co-invented multiple patents on novel herbal formulations and neuroprotective therapies, and authored over 30 research and review papers in prominent international journals. She is a recognized textbook author with major medical publishers, including CBS Publications, having published titles such as A Text Book of Pharmacology and Clinical Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacotherapeutic Drug Monitoring. Her status as an industry expert is highlighted by invitations to speak at international health science forums on intellectual property generation and patent filing. Her professional contributions have been recognized with numerous honors, including the prestigious “Best Achiever Award” at the 6th Indo-Brazilian ADCSP Conference and the “Best Talent Award (Women),” alongside lifetime memberships in APTI and APP.
