Mr. Chiranjeev Pandey is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Zoology at Government Digvijay Autonomous P.G. College, Rajnandgaon, Chhattisgarh. Qualified in CSIR-NET/SET (Life Sciences), he holds a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Zoology from Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur, and has submitted his doctoral dissertation on heavy metal accumulation in the Kharun River and its toxicological effects on fish (Channa striata) at Hemchand Yadav University, Durg. With extensive experience teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses in limnology, ichthyology, aquaculture, and vertebrate anatomy, Prof. Pandey also plays an active role in institutional administration. His responsibilities include serving as an Associate NCC Officer (ANO), IQAC member, NIRF coordinator, Anti-Ragging Committee member, and key member of the Employment Guidance and Placement Cell.Prof. Pandey maintains a highly prolific research portfolio encompassing aquatic toxicology, biodiversity conservation, sustainable agriculture, and eco-restoration. He has authored over 30 peer-reviewed journal articles, written five books, and contributed numerous book chapters focused on regional limnology, wildlife preservation, and climate action. Demonstrating a strong interdisciplinary commitment to applied science and technological innovation, he holds three registered patents, including real-time IoT systems for smart fish farming and novel laboratory diagnostic apparatus. In addition to organizing national workshops, faculty development programs, and international seminars as an Organizing Secretary, his contributions to environmental education have been recognized with honors such as the Dharti Mitra Award 2024 and The Proud Teacher Award 2024.
