Biography
Adepoju Temitope Matthew is a Nigerian science educator and researcher with professional experience in Physics, Mathematics, Science Education, educational technology, and science laboratory practice. He holds an M.Sc. (Ed.) in Physics Education, a Postgraduate Diploma in Education, a Postgraduate Diploma in Technology Management, and an HND in Science Laboratory Technology with a specialization in Physics/Electronics. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Science Education with a focus on Physics and has undertaken academic studies at Olabisi Onabanjo University, the National Open University of Nigeria, Usman Danfodiyo University, Obafemi Awolowo University, and The Federal Polytechnic Offa. He is a registered member of the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN), the Science Teachers Association of Nigeria, and the Nigerian Institute of Science Laboratory Technology. His professional experience includes teaching Physics, Mathematics, and Electronics at secondary-school level, serving as an Electronics Engineer during the National Youth Service Corps programme, and working as a Mathematics Tutor at Redeemer’s High School, Redemption Camp, where he has also undertaken administrative responsibilities including examination coordination.Adepoju’s academic and research interests center on Physics Education, Science Education, Educational Technology, Virtual Laboratory Learning, Mathematics Education, and Teaching and Learning. His postgraduate research examined the effects of virtual laboratories on the academic achievement and attitudes of Physics students in Nigerian Colleges of Education, while his other academic work has addressed the organization and improvisation of learning resources for teaching Computer Science and reading habits among secondary-school students and their implications for Physics teaching and learning. His technical background in Physics/Electronics and Science Laboratory Technology further complements his educational research and instructional experience. With a combination of classroom teaching, educational research, laboratory science, technology management, and school administration, he is well suited for academic research and peer review in Science Education, Physics Education, Educational Technology, Mathematics Education, Teacher Education, Curriculum and Instruction, STEM Education, and Teaching and Learning.
