I am an Assistant Professor of History at School of Humanities and Social Sciences in Sharda University. I have completed my M.A., M.Phil and PhD from Center of Historical Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University and graduation in History from Presidency College, Kolkata. My PhD titled “Extraordinary Circumstances: A Study of Āpad and Āpaddharma in Early Indian Literary Traditions” was awarded in 2018. Pursuing my career in research, I completed my postdoctoral studies on “Rethinking the Sacred Landscape of Ancient Gandhāra” from at Ludwig-Maximilian University (LMU), Munich. I was also a recipient of the Junior Research Fellowship for my Ph.D. by the Indian Council of Historical Research (2013-2015). Prior to joining Sharda University, I worked as Assistant Professor at Adamas University, Kolkata where I also headed the Department of History. I also worked at Jain (Deemed-to be-University) in Bangalore where I was one of the founding faculty members of the School of Creative Liberal Education (SCLE).
