Charles Mavhunga is a renowned Tourism Brand Management Expert, Researcher, Reviewer, Author, and Brand Management Consultant with a passion for driving innovation and growth in the tourism sector. Born on January 1, 1968, in Zimbabwe, Charles is a married Christian with a strong commitment to honesty, integrity, diligence, and quality. With a PhD. in progress, focusing on the impact of branding on marketing performance in the tourism industry, Charles has already made significant contributions to the field through his research, publications, and consulting work. As a weekly publisher of articles on tourism branding, Charles has written over 200 articles promoting heritage tourism in Zimbabwe, including notable pieces such as “Heritage Village is prototype for a United Africa” and “Econet Victoria Falls Marathon to Drive Economic Growth in Zimbabwe”. Charles has also authored five textbooks on Business Enterprising Skills for secondary schools and published modules on Transformational Leadership and Leadership Practices and Inventory. With extensive experience as a marketing consultant, part-time lecturer, and researcher, Charles has worked with various clients, including Rainbow Finance, and has supervised and marked research projects at the Zimbabwe Open University (ZOU). His research papers have been published in international journals, including the International Journal for Scientific Research (IJSR), and have covered topics such as the impact of happiness culture on economic performance, indigenization, and climate change mitigation strategies. Charles holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from ZOU, a Bachelor of Technology in Education Management, and various diplomas and certificates in business studies and education. He is an Associate Member of the Zimbabwe Institute of Management (AZIM) and enjoys reading, travelling, and promoting tourism branding in his free time.
