John Olusegun Okunade is a prominent figure in environmental science and public health research. He holds expertise in areas such as spatial analysis with advanced study in geospatial science and other analytical tools such as Geographic Information Systems (GIS), remote sensing, and other statistical and data analytic tools. One with a keen interest in applied climatology, medical geography, environmental health, and the impact of technology on climate data gathering as it affects global well-being, especially with underserved and vulnerable communities. Currently affiliated with the University of Michigan, Okunade contributes significantly to the field through his publications and projects focusing on environmental management and climate change mitigation, renewable energy, gender and indigenous research, and data analysis.
I have helped develop analytical mechanisms that have aided in a detailed understanding of the causative factors of climate-related issues, health inequity, and working to proffer solutions to our world’s most wicked environmental problems.
