BIODATA Dr Norhazlina was born on 5th of December 1978 in Raub Pahang. Her early education was in Primary and Secondary education was in Raub, Pahang Education background: She attended Degree in Social Sciences majoring in International Relations Major and Human Resource Development as Minor from 1998-2001 in University Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) in Kota Samarahan Sarawak. She was under a JPA Scholarships. After pursuing her Masters of Social Science (Analysis of Strategic and Security Studies) in National University of Malaysia (UKM) from 2004-2006 she joined UNIMAS as lecturer from 2006-2008. In December 2008, she finally accepted an offer National Defense University of Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur and has been with the institution till today. Dr. Norhazlina Fairuz obtained her PhD Research Degree from The University of New South Wales, Kensington Sydney Australia in 2017. She was under JPA scholarship sponsor. Her PhD research is on Post Disaster reconstruction in Tsunami Aceh and the role of NGOs in participation and capacity building in Developmental Phase. She conducted field work in Jakarta and Province of Aceh by residing in Indonesia for 6 months to complete her data collection. Her current research project is on Development of Civil-Military Framework Coordination in developing Urban Disaster management in Kuala Lumpur and Malaysia
