Dr. Gissa holds a PhD in education specializing in educational Psychology. He is a Lecturer in the department of educational psychology and curriculum studies (EPCS). He teaches courses in research methods in education, educational psychology, counseling, and special education to undergraduate and postgraduate students. He has researched on prejudice and conflicts, involved in research on childhood poverty, people with disabilities, satellite schools and INSERT models, equitable access and quality early learning, and promoting early learning through innovative technologies. Dr. Gissa has published on prejudice and inter-group relations, teaching practice, and streaming students perceived probability of success. His research interest includes streaming learners, early learning and inter-group/personal relations.
