Dr. Israel Olusegun Adedeji hails from Ogbomoso-south, Oyo State, Nigeria. His tour of education began with his primary and secondary education in the Apostolic Church Mission schools, attending The Apostolic Church Primary School, Olope marun and The Apostolic Church Grammar School, Ogbomoso, Oyo State. He obtained Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) with specialization in Christian Religious Studies/Social Studies from St. Andrews College of Education, Oyo, Oyo State in 1993. In the year 2000, he received the degree of Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) in Educational Management, Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Educational Management in 2010 and the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Management in 2019, all from the University of Ilorin, Ilorin, Nigeria. He was the overall best graduating student in Personnel Management in 2008/2009 academic session, won Raimi Oladimeji Prize as the overall best graduating student in 2008/2009 and came out in the same academic session as the overall best graduating student in the Department of Educational Management and Faculty of Education, University of Ilorin, Ilorin. Nigeria. He participated in National Youth Service under the Yobe State Ministry of Education, Damaturu from 2000 to 2001.
In May, 2005 he joined the academic staff of the Federal College of Education (Technical) Gusau, Zamfara State, Nigeria as Lecturer III. Currently, he is a Principal Lecturer and Head of the Department of Educational Foundations from 2013 till date.
Dr. Israel has contributed several articles in learned journals and books dealing with Nigerian Education in general and Educational Management in particular with two decades of teaching experience. He belongs to different professional organizations which include Nigeria Institute of Management (NIM), Nigerian Association for Educational Administration and Planning and holds Teachers Registration Council Certificate, Nigeria.
