Muhyiddeen Nasidi Musa – an accountant, analyst and researcher. At present, I work with Credent Capital and Advisory Ltd (CCAL), an investment bank and asset management firm as a financial analyst. Before joining CCAL, I served as a project accountant, account and compliance officer as well as head of account unit in Centre for Research and Documentation (CRD). Also, I am a part time lecturer for ACCA Program in Skyline university, Nigeria and a coordinator for School of Accountancy (Kano, Nigeria). Whilst at CRD, I participated and contributed to many international research projects as both compliance and project accountant. This includes the CSO Sustainability Index for Nigeria on behalf of Management Systems International (MSI) and FHI360, Washington DC. USA; Propcom Maikarfi Project on behalf of Independent Evaluation Provider for Stability Peace and Reconciliation Programme in Nigeria (NSRP), UK; State Budget Transparency Survey (SBTS) project with funding from DFID/UKaid and technical support from International Budget partnership (IBP) Washington D.C. I hold Bachelor’s degree (B.sc) and Master’s degree (M.sc) in Accounting from Bayero University, Kano (BUK) Nigeria. I am a member of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN), Chartered Institute for Forensic Accountants, Canada (CIFA)and a level 3 candidate of Chartered Financial Analysts (CFA) program. My research interests are in Accounting, Taxation, International finance, Development finance and Corporate finance.
