Ts. Soffri Yussof is a dedicated academic and researcher with a strong background in information technology and strategic innovation. He currently serves as a senior lecturer at the Faculty of Computing and Informatics, Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS), where he has contributed since 2007. With over 15 years of experience in teaching, research, and community engagement, Soffri is known for his commitment to advancing digital transformation, particularly in the fields of project management, decision support systems, and strategic ICT implementation.
Ts. Soffri Yussof holds a Master of Science in Information Technology – Management and a Bachelor of Science in Computer, both from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). His educational foundation reflects a unique blend of technical expertise and managerial insight, which he leverages to bridge the gap between theory and real-world application.
Ts. Soffri Yussof is also a certified Professional Technologist (Ts.), recognised by the Malaysia Board of Technologists (MBOT), affirming his commitment to professional excellence and practical contributions to the technological landscape of Malaysia.
His research interests span strategic innovation, management information systems (MIS), decision support systems (DSS), and the integration of digital technologies in education and healthcare. He is actively involved in the UMS Decision Support System Research Group, focusing on digital solutions for the healthcare industry.
Throughout his academic career, Soffri has been recognised for his innovative teaching approaches and impactful research. Notably, he received a Gold Medal at the UNIMAS Innovation Exposition and a Silver Medal for Teaching Innovation at UMS.
Ts. Soffri Yussof continues to inspire students and professionals through workshops, industry collaborations, and public outreach, including his work on generative AI, smart systems, and transformative education.
