Biography
Dr. Kenneth Adonye Ibiama is a highly accomplished logistics and maritime transport professional, academic, and researcher with over 15 years of combined experience in logistics coordination, maritime operations, academic leadership, and research in Nigeria’s blue economy sector. He currently serves as the Head of the Department of Transport and Logistics at the Federal Polytechnic of Oil and Gas, Bonny, where he plays a pivotal role in shaping maritime education and promoting sustainable logistics solutions.
He holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Logistics and Transport Management from the University of Port Harcourt, alongside an MSc in the same field, a PGD in Shipping and Transport Management, and other qualifications in project management, marine safety, and environmental health. He is also currently pursuing an MSc in Blue Economy and Maritime Studies.
Dr. Ibiama is a dynamic educator known for designing curriculum, mentoring students, and integrating innovative learning approaches in logistics, supply chain, and maritime education. His academic journey is marked by his drive to bridge the gap between theory and practice, promoting industry-academic partnerships and advocating for green logistics policies in Nigeria.
In addition to his academic leadership, Dr. Ibiama is the Chief Facilitator of Gold Stable Ltd, a logistics and consultancy firm, where he oversees logistics planning, supply chain optimization, and strategic transport operations for multiple sectors including oil and gas.
He is a prolific researcher with over 14 international publications, several local journal articles, and book titles including “Green Logistics in Nigeria: A Sustainable Practice for Environmental Impact and Economic Development”, “General Ship Knowledge: A Comprehensive Guide to Marine Industry”, and “Introduction to Shipping: Navigating the Maritime World”. His work focuses on sustainable transport systems, emissions reduction in shipping, logistics outsourcing in oil and gas, and public health impacts of vehicular congestion.
He has presented papers at several national and international conferences including the CARISCA Supply Chain Research Summit, the International Association of Technological Advancement for Transforming Africa (IATATA) Ghana, and CIOTA’s National Transport Summit.
