Lionelle Rei C. Balgos, LPT, MEd-SPED, MAEED, is a committed educator and researcher currently serving as an Instructor at the College of Teacher Education, Liberal Arts, and Nursing of Notre Dame of Kidapawan College. He holds a Bachelor of Elementary Education from Notre Dame of Kidapawan College (2014–2017), a Master of Education in Special Education from the University of Southeastern Philippines (2018–2021), and a Master of Arts in Elementary Education from the University of the Immaculate Conception (2022–2025). His fields of specialization include Elementary Education, Special Education, and Professional Education courses. He is a licensed professional teacher with active service eligibility.
Mr. Balgos began his teaching career in 2017 as an elementary teacher at Notre Dame of Kidapawan College–IBED. In 2023, he was appointed as a permanent full-time instructor in the higher education department of the same institution, where he teaches major, professional, and general education courses. A member of the Philippine Society of Special Education Teachers since 2022, he has contributed significantly to the research community. His scholarly works include publications in the International Journal of Research in Special Education and the International Journal of Educational Management & Development Studies, with a strong focus on inclusive practices and the lived experiences of teachers handling learners with special educational needs.
Mr. Balgos also serves as a research teacher, panelist, and reactor in various local and international research conferences. His study titled “Within the Classroom Doors: Unveiling the Lived Experiences of General Education Teachers in Handling Learners with Special Educational Needs” received the Best Paper Award at the 3rd International Conference in Education in 2024. With his continued pursuit of academic excellence and inclusive education, he strives to empower future educators and advocate for the meaningful inclusion of all learners.
