Habeeb Abdulrauf is a researcher and instructor in the School of Communication at Western Michigan University, as well as the Communication and Social Robotics labs, where he specializes in human-machine communication, human-robot interaction, Health Communication, and digital strategy. His work examines how emerging technologies, including AI chatbots, social robots, and XR platforms, influence user trust, accessibility, and public engagement. He has contributed to funded research projects involving HoloLens-based health communication and AI for environmental justice, and has presented his work at academic conferences including MediaPsych and MASAL. He currently serves as a peer reviewer for the National Communication Association and has reviewed interdisciplinary manuscripts and student research in digital health, media psychology, and science communication.
