Associate Professor Dr. Muhammad Herman Jamaluddin is a dedicated academic and researcher at the Faculty of Electrical Technology and Engineering, Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM). He holds academic qualifications from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (B.Eng.), Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (M.Sc.), and Yokohama National University, Japan (Dr. Eng.). His areas of expertise include Mobile Robotics, Haptics, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Information & Communication Technology (ICT).
Throughout his career, he has actively led and participated in over 40 research projects with significant funding, most of which focus on industrial applications and real-world problem-solving. He also possesses strong management experience, having served as the Director of the UTeM Commercialization Centre (UCC). As a productive researcher, he has an extensive publication record in Scopus-indexed journals, holds several intellectual properties, and has garnered numerous international awards on the global stage, such as at Geneva ITEX, and i-ENVEX. Dr. Herman is also active in postgraduate student supervision and serves as an evaluation panel member for engineering accreditation (ETAC).
