I earned my BSc degree in Agriculture with a specialization in Agricultural Engineering from the University of Ruhuna, Sri Lanka in 1999. Following that, I pursued an MSc in Agriculture from the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka, which I completed in 2003. In 2008, I obtained a Doctor of Engineering degree from the University of Wuhan, China, focusing on the field of Hydrology and Water Resource Engineering.
Since 2003, I have been employed at the Faculty of Agriculture, Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka, where I currently hold the position of Professor in Agricultural Engineering. Throughout my academic career, I have developed a keen research interest in various areas, including Hydrology and Water Resources Management, Agroclimatology, Eco-hydrology, Irrigation, and Rainwater Harvesting.
