Dr. A. Asrar Ahamed, working as an Assistant Professor in the PG and Research Department of Chemistry, Jamal Mohamed College (Autonomous), Tiruchirappalli-20 has 16 years of teaching experience. He received his M.Phil degree with distinction. He did his Ph.D in ‘Organic Synthesis and Computational Studies’ in Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli. He has published 28 research articles in refereed International Journals and one journal with 8.2 impact factor and 37 research papers in the proceedings of various International Conferences. He has filed a patent in the field of computational drug designing. He has received two projects from Tamil Nadu State Council of Science and Technology (TNSCST) in the field of medicinal and Environmental Chemistry and was honoured with several best paper awards for his research papers at various International Conferences. His areas of research include Organic Synthesis, Computational Drug Designing and Environmental Chemistry field. He has produced 3 Mphil Scholars. He is an active member of various academic bodies in the college.His service is unique in Entrepreneurship Areas. He engages and encourges Students to have overall knowledge by way of Industrial Visits to Several reputed Industries. He is an active Resource Person who has delivered 30+ special lectures in many national and international institutes of repute.
