As a doctorate in sociology and a post-graduate with a strong interest in urban development, women’s empowerment, and social issues, I am applying for the post of Associate Professor in the Social Sciences Department of your university. I am currently an Assistant Professor and department head at the Jain University Bangalore. My focus is on teaching and research, which helps students bring change in their individual personalities and society. Prior to this, I was a lecturer at Nadella Business School (Republic of Maldives), where I was developing new lessons and activities to expand learning opportunities, and prior to that, I was a lecturer at Mizan Tepi University (Republic of Ethiopia), where I was giving conceptual knowledge and handling students’ queries. I have participated in committees and extra-curricular activities. In specific research areas, I have focused on women’s empowerment and social issues. Furthermore, I have assisted with the research and writing of book chapters and published quality papers in reputed journals. In addition, I wrote a book on women in IT industries. In addition to this, I have 7 years of research and 12 years of teaching experience. Along with a doctorate degree, I also hold a Master of Education, a Master of Business Administration, a Master of History, and a Master of Literature. I have also attended professional workshops and a faculty development program. I have enjoyed my time at Jain University and am grateful for the excellent research and teaching opportunities offered. I am now seeking an Associate Professor role that will enable me to drive my research and planning through hands-on teaching activities.
