My name is Ahmed Mabrook Al-Hawtali and I hold Ph. D. in English literature. I’m an associate professor and teach English as a foreign language in Seiyun Community College as well as a faculty lecturer in English literature in the department of English, College of Women and College of Arts & Languages, Seiyun University, Yemen. I have teaching experience in teaching English and American literature for almost 10 years. My research interests are modern novel and poetry. I am a full-time research scholar and an aspiring teacher currently working on my research paper in Arabic poetry (studies in English). I am an ardent reader of books and fiction right from my childhood. My favourite genres in literature are classics, modern fiction and poetry as well as postcolonial literature. As a full-time research scholar, I spend most of my time reading and writing pertaining to my teaching courses. Recently, there has been so much pressure in academia focusing on publications and other such credentials.
