Dr. Aisha Umar Adamu is a faculty member at the Department of Nigerian Languages, Faculty of Humanities, Northwest University, Kano, Nigeria. She obtained her Ph.D. in Linguistics from Bayero University, Kano, with a specialization in Nonverbal Communication. She also holds both Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Hausa Language from the same institution.
Her research interests include Nonverbal Communication, Sociolinguistics, and Gender Studies. She has presented papers at numerous conferences and published widely in reputable journals on these themes. Dr. Adamu is also the author of Nonverbal Communication in Hausa Society: An Introduction, the first book of its kind exploring nonverbal communication within Hausa society.
