Akeem Adigun Ayodeji is an accomplished academic with a Ph.D. in Guidance and Counselling from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria. He is currently pursuing an M.Sc. in Public Health at Arden University, Germany, with aspirations to integrate mental health counselling within educational and healthcare settings. His academic journey includes a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Educational Guidance and Counselling from the University of Ilorin, Nigeria, as well as a Diploma in Banking and Finance from the University of Agriculture, Abeokuta.
Adigun has a rich background in research and teaching. He served as a Research Assistant at both the University of Ilorin and Ahmadu Bello University, contributing significantly to research design, data collection, and analysis. His expertise in quantitative and qualitative research methods is evident through his extensive use of SPSS and his authorship of close to 15 published research articles in reputable journals. He has also mentored undergraduate students, supervising more than 15 research projects.
In academia, Adigun has lectured at the University of Ilorin, where he conducted seminars, developed course materials, and supervised student research. His experience extends beyond teaching, as he has held administrative roles in student support, academic advising, and curriculum development.
His dedication to mental health and public health research is further demonstrated through his involvement in professional organizations such as the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) and the Association of Professional Counsellors of Nigeria (APROCON). Additionally, he currently serves as a reviewer for the Asian Journal of Education and Social Studies, the Kontagora International Journal of Educational Research (KIJER) and as an editor for the International Journal of Research and Scientific Innovation, where he evaluates submitted manuscripts for quality and relevance. This role not only enables him to contribute to the integrity of published research but also keeps him informed of the latest developments in educational and health research, further enriching his understanding of the fields.
