Dr. Ankdeep Kaur Attwal is an Associate Professor at Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University, Fatehgarh Sahib, with over 23 years of teaching and 12 years of research experience in Ecocriticism, Indian Writing in English, and Cultural Studies. Holding an M.A., M.Phil., Ph.D., and UGC-NET qualification, she has guided Four PhD scholars and currently supervises three research candidates on diverse themes, including ecocritical concerns in Indian fiction, trauma in contemporary Kashmir conflict literature, and masculinity in post-1990s Indian English novels. A prolific author and editor, she has published seven books, twenty seven research articles, eighteen lessons for State Universities and various recorded lectures on environmental ethics, trauma studies, linguistics and feminist discourse. She is actively involved in academia, serving as Head of the Department, and Director of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Public Relations Officer, and member of various academic committees. Dr. Attwal has presented more than twenty five papers at prestigious national and international conferences, including in New York and Cyprus, and has edited academic journals like RIMT Journal of Strategic Management and Information Technology and The Journal of Religion and Sikh Studies. A creative writer as well, she composes poetry in English, Hindi, and Punjabi. Recognized for her contributions, she was honored with Public Relations Award by the Punjab and Chandigarh Journalist Union (2024), with the Women Achievers Award-2025 by Yaxon Biocare Ltd., as Woman Achiever by Patiala Social Welfare Society, Patiala. She also serves as President of the Alumni Association at Mata Ganga Khalsa College, Ludhiana (Pb.) and Vice-President of the Alumni Association at Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University (Pb.) Besides this, she is a player of Tae-Kwan Do. Her work continues to shape literature, pedagogy, and interdisciplinary research, bridging academia with social and environmental consciousness.
