Arash Sharghi was born on September 20, 1976, and holds a Ph.D. degree in International Relations from Ankara University. He completed his Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) and Bachelor’s in Deck at Near East University.
Arash Sharghi has an extensive academic career, serving as Academic Staff in the Department of European Relations and the Department of Law at Near East University from 2010 to 2020. Additionally, he worked as an Academic Staff on the Department of Law at the University of Kyrenia during the same period.
In the realm of professional experience, Sharghi held the position of Founding Rector Advisor at Near East University from 2014 to 2016. From 2010 to 2014, he served as the Founding Director of the International Students Office at Near East University.
His educational background and expertise are reflected in his publications, including a forthcoming book titled “United States Foreign Policy towards ISIS in the context of the Syrian Crisis: International Law Dimension.” Sharghi has also contributed articles to peer-reviewed international journals on topics such as maritime terrorism, the European Union’s normative role, and great powers’ proxy wars in the Middle East.
Furthermore, Sharghi has presented papers at international conferences, addressing subjects like the terrorism phenomenon in the Middle East and the geopolitical dynamics of the Eastern Mediterranean.
