Dr. Dilkeshwar Prasad is a distinguished geographer, researcher and educator with extensive experience in teaching and academic research. He holds a Ph.D. in Geography from Ranchi University. He has also earned multiple postgraduate degrees, including an M.A. in Geography, M.A. in Education, B.Ed., and a postgraduate diploma in Journalism and Mass Communication. Dr. Prasad has qualified the UGC NET in Geography and several state and national-level examinations for teaching.
He has over nine years of teaching experience in schools, universities, and online platforms, and currently serves as an Assistant Professor at Radha Govind University, Ramgarh. His research interests include sustainable urban development, wind energy potential, climate change and the socio-economic impacts of urbanization. He has presented numerous papers at national and international seminars and workshops and is a life member of several professional associations, including the Indian National Cartography Association, the Association of Geographers Bihar & Jharkhand, and the National Association of Geographers India (NAGI).
Dr. Prasad has published several books and research articles in reputed national and international journals. He has been recognized with awards such as the Young Researcher Award (2025) and Best Paper Award for his contributions to urbanization and sustainable infrastructure research. Beyond academia, he is actively involved in promoting awareness on climate change, sustainable development, and education.
