Dr. Dineshkumar Ramjibhai Chavda is a dedicated academician, researcher, and educationist currently serving as Assistant Professor and Research Guide in the Department of Commerce and Management at Bhakta Kavi Narsinh Mehta University, Junagadh, Gujarat. Born on 19 September 1986, he has built a strong academic and research profile in the fields of accounting, finance, banking, and management. Dr. Chavda completed his Ph.D. in Accountancy from Saurashtra University, Rajkot in 2016, after earning his M.Phil., M.Com., B.Ed., and B.Com. from the same university. He qualified the GSET examination in Commerce and has consistently demonstrated academic excellence throughout his educational journey. His areas of expertise include Cost, Financial and Management Accounting, Marketing Management, Banking and Finance, and Business Research. With more than seven years of teaching experience at the university level, Dr. Chavda has served in various academic positions, beginning as Vyakhyata Sahayak in government colleges and progressing to his current permanent role as Assistant Professor. He has actively guided postgraduate and doctoral students, contributing significantly to research supervision, with multiple Ph.D. scholars pursuing work under his guidance and successful completions to his credit. Dr. Chavda is actively involved in research and academic administration. His doctoral research focused on merger and acquisition performance in selected Indian companies, while his M.Phil. work examined the impact of the financial crisis on India’s banking sector. He has also completed a funded research project under the SCORE scheme on the socio-economic impact of the Girnar Ropeway in Junagadh. A prolific scholar, Dr. Chavda has published and presented extensively at national and international levels, contributing more than 80 research papers along with books and book chapters. He has participated in numerous faculty development programmes, workshops, conferences, and training programmes, reflecting his commitment to continuous professional development. Beyond teaching and research, Dr. Chavda plays an active role in institutional development and academic service. He serves as Coordinator of the Students Startup and Innovation Policy, member of the Task Force for National Education Policy implementation, Master Trainer for Census of India 2021 (Junagadh District), and holds editorial and reviewer positions in several peer-reviewed journals, including his role as Chief Editor of the Multidisciplinary Cosmopolitan Journal of Research (MUCOJOR).
