Dr. Domeniter Naomi Kathula

Dr. Domeniter Naomi Kathula, PhD. ED, MED, BSc. AGED, AARUK, KUQAN, MKIM is a highly accomplished Research Consultant and International Editor & Peer Reviewer. She is currently a Senior Lecturer and Academic Leader in the School of Management and Leadership at the Management University of Africa (MUA), where she also leads the Competency-Based Education Team. Her work has influenced many aspects of education administration and planning in Kenya and beyond. She is reachable at or , and via email at or .

Dr. Kathula holds a PhD in Educational Administration and Planning from Catholic University of Eastern Africa, a Master of Education in Educational Administration and Planning from the University of Nairobi, and a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Education and Extension from Egerton University. She is an active member of various professional organizations, including the Association of Academic Registrars of Universities in Kenya (AARUK), the Kenya Universities Quality Assurance Network (KUQAN), and the Kenya Institute of Management (MKIM).

Dr. Kathula’s impressive career spans various roles, from being the immediate former Ag. Registrar for Academics and Student Affairs at MUA to her ongoing leadership positions. She has also contributed as a Resource Consultant with the Kenya National Qualifications Authority (KNQA) and a Peer Reviewer for Teacher Education Programmes with the Commission for University Education (CUE). Her leadership role in steering the establishment of MUA and the Kisaju Main Campus highlights her invaluable contribution to educational infrastructure development.

In addition to her academic leadership, Dr. Kathula is an accomplished mentor and speaker. She has been involved with the Equity Bank Leadership Programme, Catholic Parish Schools, and various international conferences including the East African University Conference and conferences in India and Zambia. She is an active board member and chair of three secondary schools and is deeply committed to food sustainability, providing potable water to over 15 families for farming in her community in Kitui East, Mutito North sub-county.
