Dr. Eling Felix is a distinguished Ugandan healthcare professional, author, academic, and human rights advocate with over a decade of interdisciplinary experience in public health, medical education, and social development. He currently serves as a Lecturer and Researcher in the Pharmacy Department at Gulu College of Health Sciences, where he mentors future healthcare professionals and actively participates in curriculum development for programs in medical records, pharmacy, Literature, public health, technology, and Business. In recognition of his impactful work in Health, Engineering, Disability Inclusion, Education and Research, Dr. Eling was conferred the Honorary Professorship (Honoris Causa) Award by Graham International University, an acknowledgment of his exceptional contribution to global academic excellence and community-driven innovation. Dr. Felix holds a Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA), a Master of Business Administration (MBA), and a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health, alongside over 15 professional diplomas and certifications in fields such as Nursing and Patient Care, care giving, Mental Health, Research Methodology, Data Analysis, Structural and Automotive Engineering, Soil and Water Engineering, Community Nutrition, and International Human Resource Management. He also completed a Professional Diploma in Human Rights and Social Justice from Institute of Global Peace and Conflict Management , solidifying his expertise in promoting human rights of the vulnerable populations most especially the Disabled Community. A prolific researcher and author, Dr. Felix has published over ten peer-reviewed research papers and presented at several international conferences most notably COM 5.0 where he was the Keynote Speaker. His outstanding presentations spanned across cutting-edge topics like Cancer molecular biology, AI integration in various sectors, Dead Horse Theory among others. His work often integrates real-world data, policy analysis, and community engagement, making his insights both academically rigorous and socially relevant. Dr. Eling Felix is also an international peer reviewer for various journals, including the International Journal of Research and Innovation in Social Science (IJRISS). His commitment to academic integrity and knowledge dissemination continues to elevate the quality of scholarly publications in the social and health sciences. As an Advocacy and Inclusion Manager of Sound of Silence Africa Initiative, Dr. Felix has led high-impact initiatives such as the Sign Language for All Project, Adolescents Reproductive Health Project, and Nutrition Resilience Project. Drawing from personal experience with hearing challenges, he has become a passionate voice for disability rights, inclusion, and the dismantling of stigma in healthcare and education systems across East Africa. Innovative and forward-thinking, Dr. Felix is also involved in grassroots technology development, including the innovation of a Hybrid Solar-Powered Car Cooling System and the design of a low-cost wooden motorcycle for economically disadvantaged communities. These inventions reflect his commitment to sustainable solutions tailored to African realities. Outside academia, he is a dedicated mentor, adventurer, football enthusiast, lover of melodious music, and avid reader with a deep passion for cultural expression through poetry and storytelling.
