Dr. G. Punithakumari is an Indian academic, researcher, and chemistry professional currently serving as an Associate Professor of Chemistry at J. J. College of Engineering and Technology, Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu, India. She holds a Ph.D. in Organic Material Chemistry from the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli, an M.Sc. in Chemistry from Thanthai Hans Roever College, a B.Ed. in Physical Science from N.V.K.S.D. College of Education, and a B.Sc. in Chemistry from Scott Christian College. With extensive teaching, research, and academic administration experience, she has previously served as a Lecturer at Noorul Islam Institution and as an Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Chemistry at Theivanai Ammal College for Women.
