Dr. Gina A. Macalos-Galbo is an Associate Professor IV and the Director of Campus Quality Assurance at Bohol Island State University (BISU) – Candijay Campus, where she also serves as the Campus Quality Management Representative (QMR). Armed with a Doctor of Education in Educational Management from BISU, along with master’s degrees in Library and Information Science and Educational Administration (Magna Cum Laude), she bridges the gap between rigorous administration and pedagogy. At BISU, she shapes future educators as a faculty member in the College of Teacher Education and the College of Advanced Studies, while simultaneously guiding institutional strategy as an internal ISO 9001:2015 auditor, regular Bids and Awards Committee member, and University Academic Council member. A multi-awarded leader, Dr. Galbo has received multiple Presidential and Director’s Awards for her stellar contributions to institutional development, including leading BISU-Candijay to a 100% CHED Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC) rate and managing successful TUV Rheinland ISO recertifications. Her diverse research footprint spans across educational structures, library culture, and QMS awareness, with recent 2024 and 2025 publications in the Journal of Interdisciplinary Perspectives and a Scopus-indexed feature in the Journal of Namibian Studies. As a dual-eligible professional (licensed Librarian and Teacher), a dedicated community extensionist for local reading centers, and an active member of international academic bodies like the Asian Qualitative Research Association, Dr. Galbo embodies her personal adage to navigate institutional challenges with resilience and “never learn to surrender.”
