Dr. Godwin John Chellathurai K is an Assistant Professor and Interim HoD of Humanities in the College of Arts and Humanities at A ‘Sharqiyah University in the Sultanate of Oman since 2012, where he teaches University requirement courses such as Introduction to Sociology, Social Problems in a Changing World, Introduction to Philosophy & Logic, Professional Ethics etc for interdisciplinary category graduate level students. Dr. Godwin served as the Head of Humanities and continuing as Interim Head. He holds several master’s degrees and a Ph.D. in Sociology from Madurai Kamaraj University, India. He has published several academic articles in multi-disciplinary fields in reputed international journals. His research interests are in the future of higher education, Governance in higher education institutions, globalization, community development, social problems, etc., Prior to Dr. Godwin’s academic entry, his corporate and development sectors experience for over 15 years has made numerous impacts to the community at large. He has served and currently as a volunteer member serving in various social clubs and associations to benefit the global community.
