Biography
Dr. Hauwa Sani Ahmad is a Senior Lecturer and currently the HOD in the Department of Library and Information Sciences, at Bayero University, Kano, Nigeria. She obtained a Diploma, B. A (LS), Masters and PhD, all in Library and Information Science. She is a Certified Librarian of Nigeria (CLN) and a member of the Nigerian Library Association with both practical and theoretical knowledge of librarianship. She worked with the Kano State Library Board from 2001 -2012 as Librarian II to Principal Librarian, before joining Bayero University, Kano. Her area of specialization is Information Management. Her research interests include Public Libraries, Information Organization, Library Leadership, Information and Communication Technology, Continuing Education, Information Literacy, and Preservation and Conservation of Information Resources. She supervised over 150 students at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Published in local and international journals and attended conferences at National and International levels. Dr. Hauwa Sani Ahmad is presently the Sub-Dean (Academics) Faculty of Education, at Bayero University, Kano, and a member of many committees in and outside the university.
