Dr. Ildefe T. Villanueva is an academic leader, researcher, and currently serves as the Campus Registrar of Negros Oriental State University (NORSU). She previously served as Dean of the College of Business Administration (2018–2024) and as Director of the University Enterprise Development (UED), where she led initiatives integrating instruction, research, extension, and income-generating projects.
Her research agenda centers on entrepreneurship, microenterprise development, financial literacy, and cooperative management, with a strong emphasis on community-based and extension-driven research. She has led and contributed to programs that provide technical assistance, capacity-building, and business development services for local entrepreneurs, including small-scale enterprises such as sari-sari stores and public market vendors.
