Imran Ahmad Sheikh is a dedicated scholar, educator, researcher, and writer whose work spans English Literature, Posthumanism, Conflict Studies, and Communication Skills. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor of English at KSRM College of Engineering, Andhra Pradesh (affiliated with Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Anantapuramu), he is committed to enriching student learning through intellectually engaging lectures, innovative pedagogical strategies, and a holistic approach to education. His teaching portfolio includes Communication Skills, Professional Communication, and Literary Vibes, reflecting both academic depth and versatility. Imran’s academic journey is marked by consistent excellence. He completed his MA in English Literature from the Central University of Jammu with an impressive 78.80% and his BA (Honours) in English Literature from the University of Kashmir with 75.10%. His educational foundation further includes a Diploma in Computer Applications (83%) and a series of prestigious NPTEL certifications from IIT Kharagpur, IIT Roorkee, and IIT Madras in Soft Skill Development, Creative Communication, English Romantic Literature, and the English Novel. His MA dissertation, “Beyond Human: Artificial Agency and Posthuman Consciousness in Klara and the Sun,” stands as a testament to his interest in cutting-edge literary and philosophical discourses, particularly Posthumanism. Beyond the classroom, Imran has cultivated a rich professional and creative profile. As the Student Magazine Editor at Government Degree College Anantnag (2021–2022), he played a central role in managing submissions, curating diverse literary and academic content, and producing a refined and engaging magazine. This editorial experience sharpened his organizational, editorial, and leadership skills. Imran is also a prolific author, having written an impressive range of books. His works include the 450+ page scholarly volume The Tragic Universe of Shakespeare, the short-story collection Seventy Nights, the poetry anthologies Quilt of Emotions and Alfaaz-e-Ishq, the communication guide Professional Communication Made Easy, and the forthcoming academic work Posthumanism: An Ontological Study of Beyond Humans. These publications reflect his literary craftsmanship, critical insight, and ability to address diverse readerships. A passionate researcher, Imran has published more than sixteen research papers in reputed international and national journals. His scholarly contributions explore a broad spectrum of themes, including Shakespearean tragedy, existentialism, psychoanalytic criticism, posthuman philosophy, cognitive dissonance, historicism, and the decolonization of language. He has also authored several book chapters focusing on Indian Knowledge Systems, literary innovation, eco-criticism, and multidisciplinary approaches to cultural studies. Imran extends his intellectual engagement to the public sphere through numerous newspaper articles published in Greater Jammu, Daily Excelsior, and Greater Kashmir. His articles cover subjects such as national development, environmental sustainability, Indian education, terrorism in Kashmir, digital transformation, and cultural heritage—demonstrating his commitment to social awareness and informed public discourse. In recognition of his literary and academic contributions, Imran was awarded an Honorary Doctorate (Honoris Causa) by Global Human Rights India. He is also affiliated with CENJOWS, the Centre for Joint Warfare Studies under the Ministry of Defence, and serves as an active reviewer for several international journals. Fluent in English, Urdu, Hindi, Punjabi, and Kashmiri, Imran embodies intellectual versatility, cultural awareness, and academic dedication. With strong competencies in research, teaching, communication, and critical thinking, he continues to contribute profoundly to academia, literature, and society.
