Dr. Joel Kanyi Tivde was born at NKST Christian Hospital Mkar. Holds Diploma and B.Sc. Accounting from Benue State University, Makurdi; MBA Accountancy from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka and PhD Accounting from Nasarawa State University Keffi. A member of various professional bodies including; Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), Association of Management and Social Science Researchers of Nigeria (AMSRAN), and Nigerian Institute of Management Chartered. Lecturer Department of Accounting, University of Mkar from 2012 till date. Held the following positions, Head of Accounting department, Member of the University of Mkar Governing Council, representing congregation, and Director of Unimkar Investment and Consultancy Services Limited. He is currently the Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the University of Mkar, Nigeria. Attended many professional and academic conferences, both at international and local levels. Happily married to Mrs. Joy Mbatesen Tivde and the marriage is blessed with four (4) children.
