I am Dr. John Okon Esin, a senior lecturer at the Maritime Academy of Nigeria, Oron, Akwa Ibom State. I hail from EyoAbasi in Oron LGA of Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. I am a holder of a BSC in Geography, MSC in Environmental Resources Management and PhD in Geography & Environmental Management obtained from the University of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State and a Post Graduate Diploma in Education obtained from the University of Calabar, Cross River State, Nigeria. I have taught at the University of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State before moving to the Maritime Academy of Nigeria, Oron. I have over 40 articles published at learned journals both at the National and International levels and nine chapter contributions in highly rated edited books in addition to 19 papers presented at both National and International conferences. I am a member of five professional bodies. I am happily married with five children.
