Dr Joshua .O. Ohioma is currently the Chief Audit Executive of the foremost Development Finance Institution in Nigeria. A professional with over three decades experience in corporate governance spanning internal controls, audit, risk management, banking, and consulting. He started his professional career in audit practice and thereafter joined the banking industry with Diamond Bank Ltd (now Access Bank PLC) performing roles in internal control, cred-it & marketing and also coordinating business development as Branch Manager. He also practiced Tax Advisory Services at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC) United Kingdom, later joining First Bank of Nigeria Limited (FBN) where he acquired valuable experience in internal Audit, internal Controls, compliance and risk management under various senior management roles. He possesses a Doctoral Degree in Business Administration from UCAM, Spain having earlier completed a Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) in Management from the same institution. He also has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) qualification and is a graduate of Economics. With prolific interest in research, he has authored several research publications in reputable scholarly international journals, while also serving as a reviewer for an international journal. He has also delivered keynote address and research papers in academic conferences. Professionally, he is a Fellow (FCA) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), an Associate (ACA) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (ICAEW), an Associate (ACIB) of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) and a Member of the Chartered Banker Institute, United Kingdom. He is Certified Risk Analyst, an ISO 27001 (Information Security Management), ISO 20000 (Information Technology Service Management) and ISO 22301 (Business Continuity Management System) Lead Auditor and an alumnus of Lagos Business School, Senior Management Programme (SMP 40) He is a Past Chairman of ICAN Lagos & District Society, a Development Dimension International (DDI) Certified Trainer, a Coach and Resource Person in various training platforms, seminars and workshops.
