Dr. Magoba Ronald Arnold is a PhD-trained epidemiologist and public health specialist with over seven years of progressive experience in infectious disease epidemiology, health systems strengthening, and implementation science in low- and middle-income settings. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Public Health (Pharmacoepidemiology and Biostatistics) from Mount Kenya University, where his doctoral research focused on delays in tuberculosis diagnosis and treatment at Kenyatta National Hospital—one of Kenya’s leading referral facilities . Dr. Magoba has developed extensive expertise across tuberculosis (TB), HIV, COVID-19, and emerging infectious diseases, with a strong focus on disease surveillance, diagnostic delays, and operational research. His work integrates quantitative and qualitative methodologies, including advanced statistical modeling, in-depth interviews (IDIs), focus group discussions (FGDs), and key informant interviews (KIIs), to generate actionable insights for health policy and program design . He currently serves as a Research Scientist and Public Health Specialist at Kenyatta National Hospital, where he leads multidisciplinary research initiatives and supports evidence-based decision-making at facility and national levels. His professional experience also includes serving as a Program Officer under the Ministry of Health, where he contributed to national COVID-19 vaccine uptake strategies, stakeholder coordination, and strengthening health information systems.
