Dr.Marzni Mohamed Mokhtar graduated from the School of Educational Studies, Universiti Sains Malaysia. She graduated with a doctoral degree in philosophy in Malay Language Education, with a graduate specialization in Higher Order Thinking Skill in Argumentative Essay Writing Instruction. Dr. Marzni Mohamed Mokhtar currently works as a senior lecturer at the Department of Language and Humanities Education at the Faculty of Educational Studies, Universiti Putra Malaysia. She was a tutor at the Department of Language and Humanities Education, Faculty of Educational Studies, UPM in 2009. Dr. Marzni’s research interests are in the teaching and learning of the Malay Language. She is particularly interested in writing instruction and digital technology. At present, her areas of academic interest are higher-order thinking skills in the Malay language, literacy education, writing instruction, and applying computers in Malay language education.
