Dr. Masud Ur Rashid (B.Arch, M.Arch, PhD) is an academician and researcher from Bangladesh. He currently works as the Associate Professor and Chairman at the Department of Architecture, Southeast University, Bangladesh. He is a distinguished researcher in the domain of Urban and Rural Sociology, housing and Human Settlement, sustainability and resilience of the living environment and Socio-economic and environmental issues that affect housing and human habitat. Through various articles and publications, he made a good contribution to the field of socio-economic and environmental issues that affect human settlement. He serves as a member of the editorial board and reviewer in different reputed journals both in the local and international arena.
Besides teaching and research, Masud Ur Rashid is an active organizer of his time. He is a member of (UIA International Union of Architects) Work Programme on Social Habitat. He is representing Bangladesh in the ARCASIA Committee on Young Architects (ACYA). Right now, he is serving the Institute of Architects Bangladesh (IAB) as the General Secretary.
